Welcome to the pages of the Chair for Methods and Psychological Assessment!

In research and teaching, the team focuses on statistics, research methods, psychometrics, test construction, and test validation. Topics covered range from method development, the statistical foundations of psychological research methods and diagnostic procedures, to application-related areas such as evaluation research, to the development, construction, and validation of diagnostic procedures in individual fields of application. Areas of application include, for example, emotional, personal, and social intelligence, so-called “dark” personality characteristics, faking/social desirability as well as self-estimates of abilities in various content domains.
